I love the idea of being able to color with pencils and then use water and a paintbrush to turn my picture into a watercolor without having to water down paint and do all the work.  If I can make it easier on myself and still create something nice I am all about that.

There are many different ways you can use the watercolor colored pencils.  The pencils can be dipped in water or water can be added to the paper first for easy watercolor drawing and painting.  I guess I was doing it wrong.  The next time I used them I did add paper to the water and it was a totally different experience.  This set had 36 pencils.  There is also the option to get a 48, 60, or 72 pack of pencils.  The pencils are made from recycled basswood; the pencils are non-toxic and have superior solubility.  The pencils came in a metal tin case for easy storage.
