Now that we have a new kitty, Dash, I am all about trying to find ways for her to be able to sleep in the house and not have the kids torment her.  To be up off the ground, in small spots, or up high are the best ways for Dash to sleep in the house without the kids picking her up and moving her.  I decided to put the hammock on the bottom of one of the kitchen chairs.  We don’t use our kitchen table so the chairs sit under the table and rarely move.  (The kids eat at the island in the kitchen and B and I eat in the living room.)

The hammock came with four straps one attached to each corner.  There was a clip at the end of each strap so I could hook it somewhere.  It took a little McGuyvering on B’s end but he managed to get it hanging from the foot rests on the bottom of the chair.  Now I just need to find Dash and have her checkout her new bed.  When I found Dash (about 2 hours later) I put her in the hammock and she immediately started kneading it with her paws to find a comfy spot.  She hung out in the hammock for about an hour until P woke up from her nap.  As soon as she heard the crying she ran for the dog door.  I have seen Dash in the hammock a few times since, so I think this is a keeper and a great place for Dash to catch some zzzzzz’s.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
