Creative Home Arts Club Crafts Kits Review

I am an avid scrapbooker and kept seeing advertising for this subscription box for a scrapbook kit for free; just pay shipping of $6.95.  I finally took the plunge and went for it.  The theme of the scrapbook kit I received was the Summer Fun Scrapbook Kit.  I was so excited for this to come that I forgot to take a picture of the outer box.

Here is a picture of the outer box after the fact.  As you can see I had to step on the box to keep it closed since I already tore into it.  Oops!

Here is a first look at what I saw all neatly packaged in a Ziploc bag.

The information booklet that came with it does have some great pictures to give you ideas, but not many directions on how to decorate or make the book.  This is definitely not for a beginning scrapbooker.

The scrapbook that I received looked awesome from the outside.  I loved the design on the cover.  Unfortunately, when I opened the scrapbook I was underwhelmed.  I was disappointed that there were not clear sleeves and you insert the completed pages.  With this scrapbook you need to adhere the finished page to the white pages in the book.  There are some scrapbooks where you have to buy clear sleeves separately, and this would be the case.  The book does not have extension poles, and is sewn.

The papers were super cute.  I loved all of the designs on the papers. The paper was of good quality, not to thick or too thin.

The recipe cards were perfect for barbecue/picnic recipes.  I loved the little ants on them.

The accessories were cute.  The stickers matched the papers and recipe cards.  There were two cardstock decals which were a slice of watermelon and a lemonade pitcher.  There were four large red brads that will make great accents.  For adhesive there was a roll of double sided tape and foam squares to give the 3-D effect.

Overall, I was not wowed by the Craft Kit Collection Subscription box.  I liked the papers, recipe cards, and accessories.  Unfortunately, the deal breaker for me is the scrapbook.  I like books that are made of high quality.  The outside of the book was great quality, unfortunately the pages on the inside were not up to what I am used to as an avid scrapbooker.  If you are interested in trying this subscription for yourself you can get it for free and only pay the shipping cost of $6.95, just click here.  They also have a monthly subscription that delivers twice a month for $14.99 each.  Click here if you are interested in a monthly subscription.
