I love using ice balls instead of traditional ice cubes. It just adds something extra to a glass or my favorite is to add them to the punch bowl. Most make a frozen ring to put in their punch bowls, but having these balls floating around in the punch give it some character.

The balls were so easy to make. All I had to do was fill the bottom tray with water, put the top tray on and as is it froze the ice ball formed. To get them out of the mold I ran it under hot water to release the balls. I think about 70% of the time I got almost entire spheres. It didn’t really matter to me if they were complete spheres because I just put them in liquid to melt anyways.
